Chapter Three: "Stories Exchanged"

The five Ronin Warriors, Anubis, the five Sailor Scouts, and Tuxedo Mask arrived on Mia's doorstep, most of them with serious bruises and gashes. Mia ordered them all to the den, where she immediately started tending to their wounds, starting with the most seriously injured, such as Kento, Serena, Darrian, and Ryo. Little Cye walked into the den and asked, "Mommy, why are all these hurt people here?"

"I'm sorry, honey. I can't talk to you right now. Please go outside and play. I'll explain everything later, in good time. Please, go outside now."

Little Cye listened to his mother. He looked exactly like Ryo, but his hair was brown, like Mia's and his eyes were a very pale greenish blue. He picked up his toy sword, which was on the porch, exactly where he had left it the day before. He played with the sword, acting like a Power Ranger. Little did he know that in just a few years, he could be the next bearer of the Armor of Wildfire.

Inside, Mia had attended to everyone's wounds and everyone had made their way to the dining room. Around the large table they all sat, Serena, Raye, Mina, Lita, and Darrian on one side; Ryo, Anubis, Sage, Rowen, Kento, and Mia on the other. Cye sat at the head near Ryo; Amy sat at the opposite end of the table. An empty space remained at Darrian's right. Cye broke the akward silence that befell the room.

"I know everyone here is angry at Amy and me for the way we stopped the fight, but it was the only way. No one would listen. Anubis, Sage, Kento, Rowen, I'm sorry that I interrupted you and hurt those of you that I did. If you would have listened, I wouldn't have done that. Again, I'm sorry."

The group nodded.

"Anyway, Amy, maybe you can explain what's been going on here. I know I absorbed a lot of your memories when I used my Armor to heal you, but that's beside the point. I couldn't get everything I needed to know, so, please fill in what you can."

Amy started to tell what she knew of the story. "About a year ago, a man we know only as the Dark Mage started attacking us. He's been sending progressively stronger creatures after us, culminating in the woman you were defending. Her name is Kala. I can only imagine, though, that the Dark Mage won't be happy with her, as she has failed three times already.

"As she fought us, she started to use more and more power, until she finally started using power derived from the dark side of Earth's moon. Now she has control of the darker powers of the Moon, and will soon have enough power to become the Dark Princess. When she becomes the Dark Princess, not even the combined efforts of all five Sailor Scouts will be enough. Not even Neo-Queen Serenity's power will be enough. I knew when Kala started using that darker power that we were in trouble, but I never imagined that she could become as powerful as she will. Our only hope is that the Dark Mage doesn't realize her potential or that he fears her potential. Either way, he will eliminate her, and we will have to face off with him directly."

Raye chimed in, "We have been fighting evil like this for years, so long that we've actually lost count. We do know, though, that in about five years in our dimension, if we can't stop the evils that have attacked, our world will freeze over and we will be powerless to stop those evils for a thousand years, when Serena there becomes Neo-Queen Serenity and uses her Silver Crystal to free Earth from its prison and protect it from another invading onslaught that causes a small time loop. Anyway, if we can't beat the Dark Mage, everything will happen sooner and the entire course of time could be set off so far that the Earth will explode."

Ryo spoke up. "Well, then, it sounds like you have quite a problem. Cye, since you seem to be our goodwill ambassador here, you can try your hand at telling them our story."

"I guess I could. Almost seven years ago, Ryo, Rowen, Sage, Kento, and I all found small balls like this one." He drew his kanji ball, then continued. "Inside each ball glows a kanji. Mine is Trust. About a year later, an evil ruler named Talpa tried to invade our world. Anubis at one time worked for Talpa. We fought Anubis, then Talpa scattered us to where our Armors are the strongest, in hopes that we would remain there in an unconscious state forever. Ryo found all of us with Mia's help. We continued to fight with the Dynasty until Talpa captured all of us and his four Dark Warlords to regain the power that a man we know only as The Ancient One took from him 1,000 years ago. Ryo managed to figure out the key to winning, which was combining the powers of all five Ronin Armors. Ryo used the resulting Armor of Inferno to blast Talpa back into the Netherworld he came from.

"We weren't done yet, though. Another Warlord, named Saranbo, attacked us. When Ryo defeated him, the swords that go with the Armor of Wildfire, which he had also been using with the Armor of Inferno, cracked. A few days later, we faced off against Lord Saber Stryke. That confrontation resulted in the Wildfire Sabres shattering. White Blaze, Ryo's tiger, amnaged to get one of a pair of swords called the Soul Swords of Fervor, at the cost of his life, from his twin brother, Black Blaze. Ryo faced off againts Saber Stryke again in the Inferno Armor and used the new sword to defeat Saber Stryke. Saber Stryke's farewell present was Black Blaze and the otehr Soul Sword. Black Blaze became part of White Blaze and brought him back to life.

"Anubis, who we thought was dead, came back to life, following the path laid out for him by the Ancient, who sacrificed himself to give us a bridge into the Dynasty so we could defeat Talpa the first time around. Anubis helped Mia and Yuli get the Jewel of Life while Sage, Kento and myself were held captive in the Nether Realm or the Dynasty and Ryo and Rowen were free in the Dynasty, tyring to rescue us. Soon after, Anubis, Mia, and Yuli, who isn't here anymore--he's with his parents, were in the Dynasty helping Ryo and Rowen. Rowen eventually rescued the rest of us and we made our way to the castle itself. Anubis then sacrificed them to save a Warlord named Lady Kayura, who was the only surviving member of the Anicent's clan. Kayura helped us fight Talpa until he crossed into our world, where Ryo fought him in the Armor of Inferno. Talpa almost had him beat, but Anubis telepathically spoke to Ryo to help him. Ryo then gave Talpa exactly what he wanted--the Armor of Inferno. As Ryo used the Armor's spirit, Virtue, to hold Talpa, Yuli, who held the Jewel of Life, was scared to death for Ryo and called out, 'Save Ryo!' The Jewel of Life then destroyed Talpa.

"Two months later, Talpa's daughter, Lial, attacked with a new Armor of Inferno, derived from the empty Armor shell left after the Jewel of Life had destroyed Talpa. We conquered it and brought back the original wearer of Ryo's Inferno Armor, Hariel. He was then taken back to his native realm, Sola, where he recieved new powers, which turned the formerly Black second Armor of Inferno into the White Armor of Light. The five Ronins, three former Dark Warlords, and Lady Kayura, then wearing Anubis's Armor of Curelty, recieveed new powers. Anubis was then reincarnated and given back his Armor. We fought Lial's troops in New York City, where Kayura formed the Armor of Time, which went to Anubis. Anubis almost killed Lial, but she beat him to the punch. We continued fighting and eventually were captured by the Dynasty. The former Dark Warlords were converted back to their evil states. We then fought the entire Dynasty army in our realm, in fact, right outside this house.

"Lial had stolen weapons from Kayura while she was in the Dynasty. Lial used them to kill Mia. Ryo then used the absolute full power of his Armor to hurt Lial. Hariel used a special staff granted to him by Anubis' spirit and containing the Jewel of Life to destroy Lial and the Dynasty. Anubis and Mia were brought back to life, our realm was restored, and the Nether Realm was destroyed. The Dark Warlords also died that day, but were not brought back.

"Several months later, Kayura married Anubis and Ryo married Mia. That brings us up to the present, where we fought you."

"Wow!" excalimed the Sailor Scouts and Darrian as they tried to absorb all that information.

Lita asked, "Is there anywhere around here that we can get some food? We haven't eaten since what seems like yesterday."

"If Cye would help me," Mia said, "I could have some food for everyone in a little bit."

Cye stated enthusiastically, "If we go to my place--it's only a kilometer and a half down the road--we can have even more food. I have an overstock because I was going to cater a wedding reception that was cancelled. I can cook it all faster at my place, too. I have commercial-grade appliances at home."

"Oh, great. That means I won't have to dirty up the pots and pans I just washed while you guys were fighting. We can go. I'll get little Cye." Mia then looked at the Scouts and Darrian. "That is, if you don't mind."

Serena answered for the group, "No, we don't mind."

I know I turned Cye into a blabbermouth this time around, but Chapter Five will be better, I promise. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter. I accidentally turned it into a summary of everything that has happened in the series and in my first fic, but I think a little review always helps once in a while.
