The Ronin Warriors Meet Sailor Moon

Chapter Six:  "Kala in the Illusion"

Kala stood in the empty Room of Illusions, hoping that the light-headedness she was experiencing would subside soon. A few moments later, her wish came true, but with a price. A cityscape that was obviously fake appeared in the room, Kala standing in the middle of it. Next appeared the Sailor Scouts and Ronins. All were in full battle gear and readying attacks. Kala quickly realized this and prepared her own attack.

She placed her right hand in front of her and focused her energy. "Spectral Wave of Annihilation!"

A large green wave of energy grew in front of Kala, then moved forward. As it moved, the apparitions of the Sailors and Ronins attacked.

"Flare Up Now!"

"Super Wave Smasher!"

"Shine Aqua Illusion!"

"Jupiter Thunderclap Zap!"

"Thunderbolt Cut!"

"Iron Rock Crusher!"

"Arrow Shock Wave!"

"Venus Love Chain Encircle!"

"Mars Celestial Fire Surround!"

"Moon Scepter Activation!"

"Quake With Fear!"

The massive force from the attacks pushed the wave back at Kala, who flew back through three buildings. Rowen's and Kento's attacks still made their way toward Kala, Rowen's leaving a hole in her left shoulder and Kento's bringing down the three buildings she flew through. Kala fought her way back to her feet and spat, "I will . . . not . . . let you . . . defeat . . . me so . . .easily! Spectral . . . Wave . . . of Annihilation!"

Another green wave of energy moved at the Ronins and Sailors. They tried to get their attacks launched, but were unsuccessful. All eleven fighters were thrown back. As they stood up, another wave hit them, causing the Ronin Armors to glow.

"What's going on here?" asked the holographic Amy as she realized what was happening.

"Form the Inferno!" cried Rowen as he gave his power to Ryo. The three remaining Ronins gave their powers to Ryo, who started to float.

"Armor of Inferno!"

The guantlets appeared over Ryo's now midnight-blue subarmor, then flamed. The body of the Armor then appeared around the subarmor. Two energy flashes formed the leg pieces of the Armor. The two familiar fire trails appeared behind Ryo's feet as he opened his eyes in his new wealth of power, then disappeared as he gently landed on the ground. White Blaze appeared out of nowhere and transformed into Black Blaze. Ryo drew the Soul Swords from Blaze's back and readied himself for attack.

"Uh-oh. I'd better figure out the secret of this locket before Sanada kills me!" Kala thought to herself as she stared into the silver and black locket the Dark Mage had given her. "I've got it! I'll try that old command Sailor Moon used! What was it? 'Moon Prism Star Power'? No, that's not it . . . yes! It was 'Moon Prism Power!' That has to be it!"

"Moon Prism Power!"

Kala's clothes disappeared, then her body was wrapped in a black silk "robe" that perfectly fit every contour of her body. She stood on the ground a few seconds later in a black outfit that almost identically matched Serena's. The only difference was that the things that covered the front of the "meatballs" in Serena's hair were not present on Kala, due to her lack of Serena's hairstyle. Also, the look of the locket had changed to match the look of Serens's old Moon Prism locket, but it was a dark gray in appearance.

Ryo went through his routine motions and called for the Inferno's attack. "Rage of Inferno!"

Kala quickly figured out her powers. She pulled her tiarra from her forehead and called out, "Dark Moon Tiarra Shield!" The tiarra started spinning above her hand. She placed her hand in front of her as if to call for another energy wave. The tiarra took on a white glow and formed a solid disc, which quickly turned gray. It then moved into a vertical position and the energy disc became larger. As Ryo's attack neared the shield, the shield drew more and more power to use in defending Kala. The Inferno's power impacted the tiarra shield, slowly forcing it and Kala back into the side of another building.

"Dark Moon Tiarra Attack!"

The shield drew more power, then forced its way towards Ryo. It never quite made it to its destination; it fell to the ground from power exhaustion after fighting the Inferno so much. Just as its power faded, the Inferno's faded, as well.

What seemed like eleven days later, Kala was still at it.

"Spectral Wave of Annihilation!"

A wave of energy leveled several buildings in a completely different cityscape than that Kala had fought in in the previous "days." From the rubble rose twelve figures. Six of them held their weapons; another held four roses in each hand; the remaining five were ready to attack. The six that held weapons jumped up, along with the one who held the roses. All of them attacked, bu tthe commands they used were inaudible. The figures were not keeping as cohesive as they were eleven days earlier. Their "lines" were not as defined, their weapons looked more like localized static disturbances.

As they attacked, the figured started to become more and more cohesive, but never became completely normal again. Their attacks, however, faded in intensity. They attacked again, this time focusing their full power into the attack. The other five figures did the same. All the attacks made their way towards Kala, who drew a wand. The wand was a duplicate of Serena's old Crescent Moon Wand, but the coloring was different. Where the Crescent Moon Wand was gold, Kala's wand was silver; where the Crescent Moon Wand was pink, Kala's was black.

"Dark Moon Cosmic Power!"

Although the wand lacked a crystal, it still put forth great power. The blast neutralized all the attacks that threatened Kala, then continued to destabilize and eliminate the eleven attacking figures. Instantly, the illusions disappeared, leaving Kala standing in the room alone. Her transformed state soon disappeared, returning her to ner "normal" clothes. As soon as this happened, Kala fell to the ground.

"Well, Kala, you have exceeded my expectations. In two days, you will fight the Ronins and Sailors together. Until then, you will rest in the healing chamber. Kayla will attend to you until then."

"Yes, Master," answered Kala as she stood up from her kneeling position. She turned and walked out the Mage's chamber doors. She went to the right, walked about fifty feet, took a left and entered a stariwell. She continued up three levels, where she found a medical area. She entered to find a very beautiful woman, about 5'8" with pale blue hair.

"Hi, Mom. Did the Mage send you for treatment?"

"Yes, Kayla. He wants you to let me rest for two days in the healing chamber."

"Alright, Mom, follow me."

Author's Psychotic Rants

Alright, I finally got Chapter Six out. The focus on Kala will end soon, I promise. Also, Kala may not be around for much longer. Anyway, that's just one idea I'm tossing around. I will eventually get back to my original outline, so look for a few more exciting chapters. I have just added these extras to the story to give a depth to the storyline and an understanding of what will be happeneing on both sides of the fight.
