Introductory Chapter

Shortly after the second Dynasty War, the Ronins started to go their separate ways. There were occasions, though, where they all got back together. Everyone except Ryo had a job. Cye chose to be a professional cook, Sage took the martial arts school road, Kento went back to the family restaurant, and Rowen decided that he wanted to try his hand at the dojo, as well. Rowen joined Sage at his dojo.

Five months after the second war, Ryo and Mia were married, as were Anubis and Kayura. Anubis took a job as a worker at Shinsha University, where he assisted (actually, did most of the work and got less than half of the credit he deserved) a professor in translating old scripts. He was also Mia's assistant in mythology, as he knew almost as much as she did. When Shinsha was rebuilt, the administration asked Mia to take over her grandfather's spot as the resident expert on mythology, and she felt it only natural that Anubis should work with her, as (again) he knew almost as much as she did.

Anubis had a rather large house, but not as large as Mia's. For this reason, it was agreed that for the two months before the wedding, Ryo and Anubis would live in Anubis' place, while Kayura lived with Mia at her house. After the wedding, Anubis and Kayura took a trip to the Caman Islands, while Ryo and Mia went to Tahiti.

Nine months and seven days (almost to the hour) after the Tahiti trip, Mia gave birth to a happy, nine-pound, twenty-one-inch-long baby that she and Ryo named Cye. Two months later, Kayura gave birth to Anubis' son, who they named Akira. [ed.: I'll bet little Cye will be a troublemaker and a half!]

Now, about the Armors. After Hariel and Sekhel returned to Sola, the bracelets that held the kanji orbs disappeared, and the Armors returned to their original appearance, although they kept the additional power that Sekhel granted them. The Ancient left to look for the Warlord Armors, which disappeared after the Warlords died. Ryo and Anubis were the only ones to continue regularly using their Armors after the war; they often trained together and eventually fought each other once a month to keep the Armors' powers up. The others would join in on a sporadic basis, just to keep the Armors strong enough to ward off any other Dynasty attacks or attacks from any other force with malevolent intent.

Every time one of the guys had a birthday, everyone gathered at his place to have a huge party. Cye usually did the cooking, although Mia and Kayura often demanded that he let them help. These same routines continued for five years, which is when the next group of fun antics started . . . .

Author's Notes

Well, hello again. I know it's been at least a week since I posted a fic, or a chapter of one. To make up for this, I am posting this introductory chapter today along with chapter two tonight or tomorrow. I decided to do this introductory chapter instead of "The Wedding," since I thought it was wrong and way too insulting to Christianize a Japanese wedding. So, in lieu of an insult, I have posted a reasonable compromise.

Well, how did you like it? I hope this fic turns out better than "Second War." I'm working on it, trust me! Every writer gets better as he/she writes more, and for more writing, an author needs encouragement. Therefore, please e-mail me or IM (IM or ICQ) me with any questions, comments, or suggestions. My address, screenname, and UID code are listed at the top of this and every chapter. I'll even accept flames if you can give a reasonable case supporting it. I can't guarantee that I'll take flames into consideration, but I will entertain them if they present a logical, or at least supported, point of view.

Again, thanks for your time. I hope you enjoyed this chapter.
