"The Final Battle"

"NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!" screamed Ryo as he looked at Mia's lifeless body lying on the pile of rubble that used to be her and Ryo's house. Ryo became so infuriated at this sight that his anger alone formed the Armor of Inferno.

Sage noticed what was going on and called out, "Ryo's trying to form the Inferno without anyone else's power! We gotta give him our power before it kills him!

As the Armor of Inferno finished forming around Ryo, the four remaining Ronins and Kayura gave Ryo the power he would need for the Armor. As it finished forming, the Armor accepted the power from the others and glowed wildly. It then started to grow. All the pieces that extended from the armor (the decorative blades on the helmet, the blades in the gauntlets, the spikes, the shoulder pieces, etc.) became longer and thicker.

Ryo jumped into the air, prepared his special attack, and let all of his rage go.

"FLARE UP RAGE OF INFERNOOOOO!!!"

The blast flew toward the Dynasty's troops, including Lial and the Warlords. The power passed straight through Lial and the Warlords, but wiped out the incredibly large legion of troops that accompanied the Dynasty's "best." The blast split and turned, wiping out some of the hiding Nether Spirits as it levelled the forest and completely evaporated the lake beside the (former) house.

A second swing from the Soul Swords redirected the attack at Lial and the Warlords, who were unaffected. Sekhel flew up and started throwing energy at the Warlords, hoping to create a distraction. No one paid him any attention. Hariel took advantage of this attempt at a distraction and attacked.

"Thunderbolt Cut! Flare Up Now!"

A blast of flaming energy made its way toward Kale, who was knocked back in amazement that anything could penetrate the shield the Nether Spirits imposed around him. As soon as he hit the ground, his armor vanished and he died. The group was not about to let this opening close on them, so they attacked.

"Super Wave Smasher!"

"Thunderbolt Cut!"

"Iron Rock Crusher!"

"Arrow Shock Wave!"

"Flare Up Rage of Inferno!"

"Solar Flare!"

"Quake With Fear!"

Sekhmet and Dais were thrown back and lost their Armors as they hit the ground. Within seconds, they also died. Lial was unaffected.

"Star Sword Scream!"

Hariel drew his nodatchi apart into two katanas and crossed them.

"Flashpoint!"

Ryo put the Soul Swords together hilt to hilt.

"Flare Up Now Inferno!"

Lial's blast was neutralized.

"You cannot defeat me, Ronins! I am far too powerful! Star Sword Scream!"

"Rage of Inferno!"

Sekhel added to Ryo's power, enabling the attack to easily overcome Lial's and throw her backwards. All five Ronins nad Kayura charged Lial, concentrating all their powers into the ensuing hand-to-hand comabt.

Hariel drew the staff Anubis gave him. The Jewel of Life glowed furiously.

"Ronins! Back off while I attack!"

The Ronins and Kayura jumped away and Hariel let fly a blast of energy so powerful that it could have made the heavens tremble, had Hariel wanted it to. Lial fell to her knees; Ryo refused to waste any time.

"FLARE UP RAGE OF INFERNO!"

Lial's scantily-clad Armor disappeared and the edges of her clothes were slightly singed. She had fallen to the ground. She fought her way to her feet and absorbed the forty remaining Nether Spirits in the Mortal Realm. She then flew up and hovered about fifty feet in the air and let loose with her dark power. Ryo, Kayura, and Hariel were the only ones left standing.

Lial fired again, this time at Mia's body. The already lifeless body skidded farther along the ground and was badly burned.

"LEAVE HER ALONE, BITCH!" screamed a rage-filled Ryo. "YOU WILL NOT GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Hoping to finally destroy Lial, Ryo let all his rage go in one final, decisive blow. "FLARE UP RAGE OF INFERNO! FLARE UP NOW INFERNO! RAGE OF INFERNO! FLARE UP RAGE OF INFERNO!"

Unbelieveable power flew towards Lial and nearly destroyed her. Hariel realized that Ryo was incapable of defeating her himself so he jumped 100 feet into the air and drew the Staff Anubis granted him. He threw the Staff straight at Lial's stomach; it missed its exact target, hitting two centimeters to the right of where Hariel intended to hit her. As the head of the Staff passed through Lial, the Jewel of Life let loose all its power.

The energy enveloped and destroyed Lial just as Ryo's power faded and he fell to his knees in the Armor of Wildfire. Lial disappeared; Sekhel knew that she and Talpa were forever destroyed. Lial's final words were, "Curse you, Ronins! You have destroyed the Dynasty and my father! Someday, you will pay for this!"

The Jewel of Life did not stop there. Its power restored all the damage caused during the battle, with the exception that it did not restore the lives of the Dark Warlords. Mia and Anubis were reincarnated, and Hariel and Sekhel were returned to the still unharmed Realm of Sola. Power from the Jewel even made its way into the Nether Realm, where it destroyed everything in its path, then restored the realm to the peaceful state it once was in before the Dynasty's rise to power.

The five Ronins and Kayura powered down to their subarmors, then to their normal clothes.

"It's finally over! The Dynasty is gone forever!" Ryo screamed as he turned to look at the restored house. He was surprised to see Mia standing on the back porch, intently staring him down as if she had a burning question.

"Ryo, what happened?"

"It's a long story, Mia. We'll talk about it over lunch, but you may not like part of the story."

"What else is new?"

Mia, Yuli, Kento, Ryo, Sage, Rowen, Kayura, Anubis, and a heartbroken Sai (who hid his heartbreak well) made their way to the house. Sai needed Mia's help to prepare the large feast, so she accompianied him into the kitchen, where she told him point-blank that she saw through his facade; he ignored her and fixed the meal.

At the dining room table, the nine discussed the morning's events while they ate. Naturally, Kento ate the most, polishing off the last of the food that Sai and Mia prepared. After the feast, the nine retreated to the living room, where they watched the midday news while still discussing the battle. Soon after the news was over, there was a knock at the rear door. As Kayura was the closest to the door, she answered it.

She shouted out in excitement as she opened the door, "Ancient! Ancient One! You've returned!"

The Author's Psychotic Rants

Okay, I realize I may have enraged you Ryo fans that hate Mia when I reincarnated her, but the story pretty much wrote itself in that respect. On the other hand, I may have enraged fans who like Mia when I killed her. But, as I said, the story pretty much wrote itself in that respect.

Before I continue with a preview of what's still to come, I must apologize for butchering any Japanese that I may have butchered in this fic. I must also apologize for torturing you for the past eight chapters. I had originally intended this fic to be at least fifteen chapters, but I wrote too many battles too quickly. My next mulit-part fic will be longer, I promise.

My next fic will be a one-parter called "The Wedding." It should be no longer than nine or ten pages (at the most). Obviously, it will focus on a wedding, but between who I still don't know.

Anyway, I will soon have this entire fic posted on my personal website. I will also have all of Aleksa's fics that have been released posted on that site. (Special thanks to Amanda Swiftgold for allowing me to save and reformat these fics from her site to use on mine, and special thanks to Aleksa for allowing me to post her fics on my site.) Due to current space and time constraints, I will be unable to post anyone else's work. I am sorry for this, but it is not my choice.

Okay, here I must depart.

Later!
