"Taking on the World"

Seven armored warriors stand on the ground inside the Dynasty's castle grounds. Two more lay, dead. The two dead men are myself and Cale. I was wearing the Armor of Cruelty, and I was fighting quite well-I had eliminated four legions of Dynasty soldiers with just my Armor's power alone. Rage does a lot for an Armor's power, more than you will ever know. I am still on the battlefield, but only in spirit.

Nearby stand the other warriors. They are Ryo, Sage, Kento, Andrew (also called "Drew"), Sekhmet, Dais, and Leah. They are fighting as well as can be expected, but they are quickly losing ground, as there are ten legions attacking each warrior. Leah is fighting in the Armor of Strata, Andrew is wearing the Armor of Torrent. The familiar faces are wearing the Armors that sought them out before Talpa invaded the Mortal Realm.

Andrew and Leah stood fairly close together (less than five meters apart), but were fighting separately. The others stood at least five feet from each other, Kento being farthest from the rest at thirty meters away. Andrew looked over at Leah to see how she was faring, and saw a soldier behind her as she was reaching for an arrow.

"Arrow--"

"Leah! Watch out! Behind you! NO! SUPER WAVE SMASHER!"

Andrew was too late. The soldier shoved his spear through Leah's hand. As she cried out in pain, Andrew's attack hit the soldier, destroying it. The attack continued into an approaching legion of soldiers, destroying nearly two thirds of it. Andrew cut off the blast and refocused his power. He again let his attack fly, wiping out the rest of the soldiers. He turned around to attack the other legions of soldiers. As he did, I saw that his face shield had drawn itself closed and his subarmor had turned black.

"SUPER WAVE SMASHER!"

Andrew directed the attack in a semicircular motion, wiping out three quarters of the soldiers quite easily. After refocusing his attack, he let it go again, this time destroying all of the remaining soldiers and much of the castle's lower level. The castle started falling slowly, but it didn't harm anyone. Instead, it revealed a fully armored Talpa, one hundred meters tall. Leah pulled the remaining thirty-centimeter piece of spear from her hand and drew an arrow.

"Talpa, you're mine! Arrow Shock Wave!"

The arrow missed the intended mark--between his eyes--and hit him right in the center of his breastplate. The arrow stuck in the Armor, but did almost no damage.

"Is that the best you can do, pathetic little Ronin?" bellowed Talpa's manically laughing voice.

"No, Talpa, she's not even showing you one TENTH of her power! SUPER WAVE SMASHER!"

Andrew's attack did little but make Talpa stumble back a step. Sage saw what was happening and called out, "Form Inferno! It's the only way we can save them!"

Just as Sage, Kento, Sekhmet, and Dais gave their power to Ryo, Andrew took an arrow to his right shoulder. He turned, wincing in pain, to the source of the arrow. It was another Dynasty soldier. As Andrew couldn't do anything, he collapsed in pain. His subarmor turned white again and his face shield opened.

"NO! DREW!" Leah cried as she pulled an arrow from her endless quiver. She shot it, barely managing to destroy the soldier before Talpa swung one of his swords at Leah. The energy wave threw Leah against the outer wall of the castle grounds. She fell to the ground in pain, then fell into unconsciousness.

"RAGE OF INFERNO!"

A wall of flames shot forth from the Sould Swords, hitting Talpa in the side. The attack grounded Talpa, who retaliated by uttering indistinguishable words and pointing his sword directly at Ryo. The bolt of lightning that came from the sword killed Ryo instantly, but did not dissolve the Armor of Inferno. Instead, the bolt was refracted, reviving and healing Andrew and Leah. Andrew walked over to Ryo's body, seeing a small orb in front of Ryo's head. Drew picked the orb up and saw that the Ryo's kanji was glowing in it.

"Benevolence? I thought hew said his Armor's spirit was Virute," Andrew said as he studied the orb. The orb disappeared a fraction of a second later. The Armor of Inferno disappeared from Ryo's body, leaving his red and white subarmor. Inferno then appeared around Andrew, merging with Torrent.

Once the merge was complete, Andrew drew the Soul Swords from the scabbards on his back. Talpa was now standing again, and stepped back in fear of this "new" Armor.

Leah stood up from her kneeling position and drew an arrow.

"Arrow Shock Wave! Multistrike!"

The arrow split into four. Two arrows hit Talpa in the eyes. The other two landed in his breastplate. In Talpa's moment of blindness, Andrew decided it was then or never. He jumped into the air, put the Soul Swords hilt-to-hilt, drew them back apart, held them levelly in front of him, then angled them at Talpa.

"FERVOR FLARE!"

As Andrew let this wave of energy go, his new Armor started glowing, as did all of the others, including Cale's and mine. All the Armors shot power into Andrew, increasing the size of the power wave. Talpa fell to the ground, then moaned, "CURSE YOU, RONINS! I KILL ONE OF YOU, AND THE REST OF YOU BECOME STRONGER?!? THIS WILL NOT HAPPEN! BADAMON!"

It was too late for Talpa, as his Armor disintegrated and his "soul" was destroyed. The warriors fell in exhaustion, losing their Armors, but not their subarmors. They fell asleep, only to awaken in their own homes. Andrew and Leah, however, woke up on adjoined picnic tables in a park in Vermont. As they stood up and looked around, they realized what had happened. They sat down on the table, looked at each other, and made wishes to themselves.

Andrew broke the odd silence by saying, "We're lucky Ryo's Armor used Talpa's power to revive us. If it hadn't we'd be dead. See what happened when you try to take on the world."

Leah retorted, "Hey, practice what you preach! As I recall, you were the one who turned his subarmor black to defend me!"

"True, but I had enough anger built up that I could manage, at least until that bastard hit me with that arrow."

"Yeah, but I'd have been fine if that damned soldier hadn't gotten me with his spear."

"Maybe, maybe not. I guess we just need to learn that we can't take on the world by ourselves."

"You know, Drew, I have to wonder sometimes if YOU'RE not a descendant of the Ancient's clan, too. You seem to be pretty wise. . . "

Andrew started laughing wildly. "Yeah, right! Half the time, I just wing it! The rest ot the time, I just remember all those goofy things my mother pounded into my head!"

After calming down a little, Drew lightly kissed Leah on her forehead and walked away, again laughing hysterically.

Hey, guys! I wrote this fic based on a dream, but I changed a few things to make it go a little more smoothly. The deal with Andrew and that Armor-melding thing is straight from my subconscious, so don't blame me, blame my friends! (j/k)

This fic definitely was not planned, and I WILL eventually get back to The Ronin Warriors Meet Sailor Moon, just as soon as I can get some inspiration and some free time.
